How to Fund Polymarket with USDC
Polymarket settles in USDC (a US-dollar stablecoin) on the Polygon network, so
funding it means getting USDC into a connected wallet. Here’s the basic flow.
What you need
- A Polymarket account and a connected crypto wallet
- USDC on the Polygon network
The steps
- Create your account and connect (or create) a wallet through Polymarket.
- Get USDC. You can buy USDC with a card through Polymarket’s built-in
on-ramp, or transfer USDC you already hold. Make sure it’s on Polygon — the
network matters.
- Deposit the USDC to your Polymarket balance. There are no deposit fees on
your balance.
- Start trading — your USDC is now your buying power for Yes/No shares.
What US traders should know
Polymarket returned to the US in late 2025 through a CFTC-licensed entity, and is
available in 40+ states but blocked in around eight. Confirm availability in your
state — see our legality tracker — before funding.
Not financial advice. Only fund what you can afford to lose, and double-check the
network (Polygon) on any transfer.
