FanDuel Predicts is FanDuel and CME Group's prediction-market app, launched December 22, 2025. Financial contracts are offered in all 50 states, but sports only in 18 states where FanDuel doesn't run a sportsbook. Its flat 2¢-per-$1 fee is simple, but expensive on long shots.
FanDuel Predicts is FanDuel’s CFTC-regulated prediction market, run with CME Group. You trade $1 event contracts on sports, finance and the economy, for a flat fee of 2¢ per dollar of potential payout. As of October 2026, financial contracts are available in all 50 states, but sports contracts only in 18 states where FanDuel doesn’t operate its sportsbook.
FanDuel describes Predicts as “the app of FanDuel Prediction Markets, a joint venture between FanDuel Group and CME Group.” Accounts are opened with FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, “a registered futures commission merchant and a member of the National Futures Association.” CME Group’s 2025 annual report says it owns 51% of the joint venture’s holding company, formed in December 2025.
FanDuel launched Predicts on December 22, 2025 in Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota and South Dakota, “beginning a phased national rollout.” Contracts were first listed on CME Group exchanges. In June 2026 FanDuel added sports, entertainment and combo contracts through Crypto.com’s exchange, OG Prediction Markets. Flutter’s Q2 2026 results said “all FanDuel Predicts sports and novelties contracts will now be moved to Crypto.com,” while CME’s financial markets stay available.
There’s a standalone FanDuel Predicts app on iOS and Android, plus web access. Since April 2026, customers in non-sportsbook states can also reach Predicts inside the main FanDuel app.
Contracts are priced from $0.01 to $0.99 and pay $1 if right. FanDuel’s guide explains that a “yes” position priced at 40 “reflects a market view of a 40% probability.” Positions are “fully margined,” so “you can never lose more than you put in.” Markets include NFL, college football, NBA, MLB and NHL games, player props, and football combos: “combine up to eight Football predictions in one trade… All selections must hit.” Financial contracts cover the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, oil, gas, gold, crypto, GDP and CPI. “Only select markets allow you to cash out early.”
FanDuel’s fee is unusually simple: “Two cents per dollar of your potential payout. That’s it. Example: $100 potential payout = $2 fee at checkout. The same fee applies if you cash out early.”
Every contract pays $1, so this is 2¢ per contract at any price. That’s cheap on favourites and expensive on long shots, the opposite of percentage-of-probability fees like Kalshi’s:
| Price | Stake | FanDuel Predicts fee | Kalshi taker fee | Cheaper |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10¢ | $10 | $2.00 (20%) | $0.63 (6.3%) | Kalshi |
| 25¢ | $25 | $2.00 (8%) | $1.32 (5.3%) | Kalshi |
| 50¢ | $50 | $2.00 (4%) | $1.75 (3.5%) | Kalshi |
| 75¢ | $75 | $2.00 (2.7%) | $1.32 (1.8%) | Kalshi |
| 90¢ | $90 | $2.00 (2.2%) | $0.63 (0.7%) | Kalshi |
On these numbers Kalshi’s taker fee is lower at every price, and the gap is widest on long shots. See our Kalshi fees guide for how Kalshi’s formula works.
FanDuel says Predicts is “Available to Trade in all 50 States. MARKETS AVAILABLE TO TRADE VARY BY STATE.” In practice:
Flutter’s 10-K is explicit: “We do not currently offer sports contracts in U.S. states in which we offer our sportsbook product,” and it intends to stop offering sports prediction markets in states that legalise online sports betting. In Nevada, the Gaming Control Board accepted the surrender of Flutter’s licences on November 12, 2025, saying FanDuel and DraftKings “intend to engage in unlawful activities related to sports event contracts.”
You must be 18+, and sign-up asks for your “birth date, Social Security number, home address, banking information and a government-issued ID,” plus questions about your trading experience and finances. FanDuel’s new-customer offer (August 24 to October 20, 2026, in the 18 states above) pays up to $100 in Predicts Bonus: $20 a day for five days when you trade $1 daily. Bonus expires a day after it’s credited, but winnings from it are withdrawable. A refer-a-friend offer runs through December 31, 2026. We don’t publish codes. Note that FanDuel Prediction Markets “is not FDIC insured or SIPC protected.”
The two sportsbook giants took similar routes: both offer sports contracts only outside their sportsbook states, and both are brokers rather than exchanges. DraftKings is an introducing broker that owns its own exchange (DKeX) and charges $0.01 per contract plus an exchange fee. FanDuel is a CME-majority FCM charging a flat 2¢ per contract. See our DraftKings Predictions review.
Score: 7.0 / 10. FanDuel Predicts is a polished, CFTC-regulated app from a trusted brand, with sports, props and combos in big states like California, Texas and Florida. But sports aren’t available in FanDuel’s sportsbook states, and the flat 2¢ fee makes it a costly place to back long shots. Price-sensitive traders will usually do better on Kalshi or Novig. FanDuel Predicts is the app of FanDuel Prediction Markets, a joint venture between FanDuel and CME Group. Accounts are opened with FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant, and contracts are listed on CME Group and Crypto.com exchanges. It launched on December 22, 2025.
Non-sports contracts are available in all 50 states. Sports contracts are offered in 18 states without FanDuel's online sportsbook: Alaska, Alabama, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas and Utah, per FanDuel's promotion terms.
'Two cents per dollar of your potential payout,' per FanDuel, for example a $2 fee on a $100 potential payout. The same fee applies if you cash out early. Because every contract pays $1, that's 2¢ per contract whatever the price.
It's regulated federally by the CFTC through a registered FCM. FanDuel says it doesn't offer sports contracts in states where it runs its sportsbook. In Nevada, FanDuel's parent Flutter surrendered its gaming licences in November 2025 to pursue prediction markets.
