Alaska’s position

Alaska has no legal sports betting. Its criminal code defines gambling as staking something of value “upon the outcome of a contest of chance,” with an exception for futures contracts and other bona fide business transactions. A mobile sports betting bill, HB 145 (up to 10 licences, 21+), carried over into 2026; we found no sign it passed.

Alaska’s Attorney General joined a June 2026 multistate brief backing Tennessee against Kalshi in the Sixth Circuit, but Alaska is one of the few states that didn’t sign the October 2026 Supreme Court brief. See is Kalshi legal?

What’s available

With no sportsbooks, Alaska is open to the sports products too: DraftKings lists Alaska among its Predictions states, and Alaska was one of FanDuel Predicts’ five launch states in December 2025. Compare every state in our legality tracker.
