Yes, prediction markets are available in Washington, DC. As of October 18, 2026, we found no action by DC’s Office of Lottery and Gaming, its Attorney General or its courts against Kalshi, Polymarket US, Novig or PredictIt.
DC legalised sports wagering, regulated by the Office of Lottery and Gaming. The Lottery’s own app, GambetDC, soft-launched on May 28, 2020, and private licensees also operate. DC law requires mobile operators to verify bettors’ age and location. Attorney General Brian Schwalb signed the October 2026 multistate brief asking the US Supreme Court to take up a Kalshi case on the states’ side, but we found no DC enforcement of its own. See is Kalshi legal?

We couldn’t confirm whether FanDuel Predicts offers sports contracts in DC. Compare every state in our legality tracker.
