Kalshi sports covers almost every major league. As of October 2026, Kalshi’s public API lists 4,007 sports series: NFL and NBA games, spreads, totals and player props, plus soccer, MLB, NHL, college sports, golf, tennis, UFC, F1 and more. Each market is a sports event contract that pays $1 if the outcome happens. Below is what you can trade in each league, how the fees differ, and where Kalshi sports is legal.
A sports event contract is a yes/no question, such as “Will Jacksonville win the HOU Texans vs JAC Jaguars Pro Football game…?” It pays $1 if yes and $0 if no. The price, say 56¢, is the market’s implied probability (about 56%). You can buy either side, set your own limit price and sell before the final whistle, which a sportsbook ticket doesn’t allow. Kalshi titles many markets “Pro Football” or “Pro Basketball” rather than using league trademarks.
Kalshi began listing sports in late 2024 and early 2025 with championship contracts, which it certified with the CFTC under a “Will <team> win <title>?” filing. Game, prop and combo markets followed.
Soccer leads because Kalshi lists dozens of leagues. Kalshi’s API also tags smaller numbers of series for motorsport, cricket, MMA, Olympics, chess, boxing, rugby, table tennis and lacrosse.
Kalshi’s NFL coverage (shown as “Pro Football”) includes:
The NBA season tips off on October 20, 2026, the date of the first NBA game markets in Kalshi’s API. Kalshi NBA markets include:
Kalshi’s API also lists the WNBA and men’s college basketball, including the tournament champion.

“Standard” means Kalshi’s taker fee of 0.07 × contracts × price × (1 − price), rounded up. “Maker fees” means resting orders also pay a smaller 0.0175 fee on those series. Our Kalshi fees guide has the full breakdown. The app always shows the fee before you confirm.
You can combine legs from different games, and even different categories, into one combo. Every leg must hit for it to pay $1. Combos are priced by request-for-quote, so a fill isn’t guaranteed. Our Kalshi parlays guide explains how combos are priced, settled and charged.
Sports contracts are where states push back. As of October 17, 2026, court orders require Kalshi to block sports contracts in Nevada, Washington and Michigan, and more than a dozen states are contesting them. Kalshi’s help centre doesn’t publish a state list, so the app’s location check is the final word. See Is Kalshi legal? for every state, or compare other sports platforms in our Novig review.

They're yes/no contracts on a sports outcome that pay $1 if it happens and $0 if not, traded on a CFTC-regulated exchange. The price is the market's implied probability. Unlike a sportsbook bet, you can sell your position before the game ends.
